Nippon Aqua's AQUA MOEN NEO was born from a wish to offergreater peace of mind toconstruction site workers.
Aiming for「」 on-site fire incidents!
ABOUTWhat is AQUA MOEN NEO?
AQUA MOEN NEO is non-combustible insulation that reduces the risk of fire and protects lives!
AQUA MOEN NEO has been certified as a non-combustible material and uses non-fluorocarbon HFO as its foaming agent. It enables installation in about one-third the conventional time, and features outstanding water resistance and adhesive strength. AQUA MOEN NEO is an environmentally friendly product that combines non-combustibility with insulating properties, and is also compatible with refrigeration facilities.
FEATURE 01
An insulating material that offers non-combustible performance
AQUA MOEN NEO has obtained certification as a non-combustible material from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. (NM-4962-1, NM-4963-1, NM-5288)br>
Its performance has also been verified in combustion tests including oxygen index and ASTM testing.
FEATURE 02
Non-fluorocarbon, high insulation performance
AQUA MOEN NEO is a non-fluorocarbon insulating material. As a foaming agent it uses HFO, which has a GWP of approximately 1 and exerts low impact on the global environment.
FEATURE 03
Shortened installation period
AQUA MOEN NEO has been subjected to non-combustibility testing as a homogeneous material. It reduces processes and enables a shortened installation period compared to composite materials using conventional wet-type non-combustible materials, significantly reducing the work period.
FEATURE 04
Long-term performance
When sprayed, AQUA MOEN NEO instantly hardens and self-adheres to the substrate.
Its adhesive strength is long-lasting and resists moisture permeation, demonstrating non-combustible and thermal insulation performance over a long period.
FEATURE 05
Adhesion
By strongly adhering to varied substrates, AQUA MOEN NEO is more resistant to detachment and falling off than wet-type fireproof coatings and fire-resistant coating materials. Even if applied material detaches and falls due to earthquake or other cause, its low density enhances safety.
FEATURE 06
Moisture resistance
As AQUA MOEN NEO's low moisture permeability resists the effects of water, it can also be applied to pits.
FEATURE 07
Insulation for freezing and refrigeration facilities
AQUA MOEN NEO meets JIS A 9526 Type A 2H standards and is applicable as a non-combustible insulating material for freezing and refrigeration facilities.

Case studies
Shortened logistics warehouse construction period; accommodation of harsh environments
AQUA MOEN NEO has been adopted in the construction of new logistics warehouses in the Kanto region for its usability in winter and in frozen and refrigerated environments.
Unlike conventional products, AQUA MOEN NEO requires no wet-type non-combustible coating material installation, which enables shortened installation work periods. It has also earned recognition for its ability to be installed from a vehicle with no large plant required, as well as its resistance to detachment by wind.

Density measurements of foam samples at the start of all installations
Is AQUA MOEN NEO urethane foam?
AQUA MOEN NEO falls under the classifications Type A 1H and Type A 2H of JIS A 9526 sprayed rigid urethane foam for building insulation.
In addition to urethane bonds, the product contains a high level of heat-resistant and flame-retardant isocyanate bonds.
Is it possible to apply coating to the surface of the foam?
There are examples of the product being used with coatings applied to the foam surface. Contact our company to inquire about coatings, etc. that can be applied. Please note that when the foam surface is coated, the specifications will differ from those certified by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for non-combustible materials.
What does "non-combustible" mean?
Under the ISO5660-1 test method for non-combustible materials, materials are placed in a high-temperature environment in which combustion is induced for 20 minutes, using a testing device called a cone calorimeter. If peak rate of heat release and total calorific value remain within standard values, the material is deemed non-combustible.
AQUA MOEN NEO exhibits non-combustible performance by suppressing mutual contact among the three elements of combustion (the heat source, the combustible, and oxygen), through action that includes the formation of a solid carbonization layer on the surface at the initial stage of combustion.
Is gas released during combustion?
AQUA MOEN NEO has passed tests for gas toxicity.
The combustion of urethane foam releases asphyxiant gases such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, as well as irritant gases such as acetaldehyde. As noted above, AQUA MOEN NEO forms a solid carbonization layer on the surface at the initial stage of combustion, with the result that combustion gases are released in much smaller volumes than are released by conventional urethane foam.
