Products tailored to installation sites

At the time of our founding in November 2004, Nippon Aqua purchased the raw materials for AQUA FOAM from urethane raw material manufacturers. However, from a desire to deliver high-quality insulating materials at stable prices by offering products better matched to the needs of installation sites and by reducing intermediary margins, we decided to promote vertical integration toward becoming a raw material manufacturer. Through this strategy, we shifted to in-house development of raw materials aimed at stabilizing our product supply and enhancing price competitiveness.

Strategy Prompt support

As a major step toward realizing that strategy, in March 2014 we opened our Technical Center inside German Industry Park in Midori-ku, Yokohama. This high technology industrial park houses over 50 German and other international companies engaged in advanced research and development, and is easily accessed from Tokyo and Yokohama. Our Technical Center uniquely tackles responsibilities including development of raw materials for AQUA FOAM products, quality control, installation work stability checks through test spraying, and sampling-based on-site performance evaluations. Through this, we are able to quickly and accurately meet the needs of installation sites and provide prompt support to customers.

Structure Working to stabilize product quality and supply

As Nippon Aqua is a fabless manufacturer that outsources manufacturing to outside partner factories, the presence of the Technical Center is critical. The Technical Center plays a central role in strengthening collaboration with partner factories and supporting product quality management systems. By working to stabilize quality and supply, it maintains our long-term reliability and competitiveness and contributes to the enhancement of customer satisfaction.
